What is laughter yoga?
Laughter Yoga (also called Laughter Wellness) was developed by Dr. Madan Kataria in Mumbai, India in 1995. It's based on a simple scientific fact: your body cannot tell the difference between fake laughter and real laughter! Both produce the same healthy benefits.

Do I need to be flexible or do yoga poses?
NO! Despite the name, Laughter Yoga does NOT involve yoga poses or mats. It's called "yoga" because of the breathing techniques (pranayama). Everyone can participate!
What if I don't feel like laughing?
That's the beauty of Laughter Yoga! You don't need to feel happy to laugh. The exercises create laughter through playful activities—and your body responds with health benefits regardless of your starting mood!
Will people think I'm weird for fake laughing?
Nope! Everyone in the session is doing it together in a supportive environment. Plus, fake laughter becomes REAL laughter so quickly you'll forget it started as "fake"!
